- 1970-1982 Charge Nurse at the Fulton County
Medical Center in McConnellsburg,
Pennsylvania. This involved running a 40 bed unit with
a 6 bed Maternity Unit.
- 1982-1985 Assistant Director of Nursing at
Fulton County Medical Center. Involved
staffing and managing nursing personnel. One year
during this time covered as
Director of Nursing. Involved staffing budgets, and
decision making. Also learned to
deal with the Board of Directors and the Medical
Staff.
- 1985-1991 In-service Director at the Fulton
County Medical Center. Involved orientation
of all new employees, patient teaching, physician
education, nursing education,
nurse recruitment, public speaking, designing a state-approved
education program for diabetic teaching. and IV
Therapy course for LPNs.
- 1991-1997 Fulton County Area Technical School
Instructor. Teaching 10-11-12 Graders
Anatomy and Physiology and Health Ed Assist I,.II.,III.
- 1994-1996 Relief R.N. Chambersburg Birthing
Center at Chambersburg Hospital. Handled labor
and delivery, post partum, and nursery. Took emergency
ambulance runs with high risk O.B. patients to Hershey
Medical Center, Hershey,
Pennsylvania.
- 1991-1999 E.R. Staff nurse part-time at the
Fulton County Medical Center. Ran
a 6 bed E.R. handled trauma, heart attacks, sick
children, bone injuries, eye
injuries, and any type of emergency.
- 1999 Six month Educational Leave form Feb
1999 to August 1999. Trained at York
Hospital in York, Pa. Did 43 births, prenatal care,
postpartum care, well women
care, newborn care, menopause care, and contraceptive
care.
- 1999-2004 Fulton County Home Care. Involves
taking care of clients in their own
homes. Doing physical assessments, well baby visits,
postpartum visits, and home IV
Therapy.
